EV Charging Field Technician - Field Service Technician
Salary Range: Final compensation determined by experience, skills, and location, starting $78,000
EV Charging Solutions (EVCS.com) is expanding its network on the West Coast in California, Oregon and Washington state and looking for a Field Service Technicians.
We're hiring hands-on EV Charging technicians who enjoy being in the field, solving real problems, and making an impact. You’ll be on the move traveling to troubleshoot EV chargers, perform routine repairs, assist with installs, and work with contractors, equipment manufacturers and internal teams to keep our EV Charging network running smoothly.
Seeking individuals with a strong work ethic, mechanical aptitude, and a willingness to learn on the job.
Location: Remote, field-based position with a strong preference for individuals residing on the West Coast, specifically in California, Oregon, or Washington. While the role is fully remote, proximity to these states is ideal due to regional collaboration, client engagement, and travel requirements.
What You'll Be Doing
- Manage EV charging station maintenance in specified region.
- Perform on-site troubleshooting, diagnostics, and repairs of electrical systems and charging equipment.
- Conduct site evaluations for new installations as needed.
- Handle preventive maintenance and troubleshooting electrical components.
- Replace hardware, run diagnostics, and log field activity.
- Coordinate work with contractors and internal teams
- Monitor network performance, assess technical issues, and implement scalable solutions to reduce downtime.
- Maintain compliance with safety protocols and company standards.
- Manage inventory, logistics, and part replacements to support field operations.
- Collaborate with service partners, contractors, and inspectors to coordinate dispatches and ensure timely execution.
- Uphold safety protocols and standard operating procedures (SOPs) across all field activities.
- Keep accurate records and service documentation.
What You Bring
- 3 years of experience in electrical, mechanical or technical field work (EVSE experience a plus, not required)
- Familiarity with NFPA 70E, Arc Flash, and construction safety protocols (OSHA 10/30)
- Strong troubleshooting skills and reliability in remote field settings
- Good communication and time management
- Comfortable using basic software like Microsoft Office; Salesforce and Zendesk are a plus
- Valid driver’s license and willingness to travel across Eastern Washington
- Understanding of NEC or other construction related standards
- High school diploma or GED required
- Prefer CA, OR or WA Electrical license or EVITP certification
