Manager, Inventory & Supply Chain

Salary Range: $98k-$120k

The Manager, Inventory & Supply Chain is responsible for overseeing procurement, inventory control, and warehouse operations across multiple locations. This role is central to ensuring materials and equipment are received, stored, tracked, and distributed in a timely, cost-effective, and efficient manner to support EVCS’s operations. The ideal candidate will be a strategic thinker and proactive operator who can build and implement scalable systems and processes while also managing day-to-day operations. This position will play a key role in setting up best practices and SOPs, integrating ERP systems, and supporting the planning and execution of materials for EV charging station construction and maintenance.

Responsibilities

  • Create and manage purchase orders (POs), oversee procurement workflows, and maintain alignment with project timelines and budgets; engage with vendors to negotiate pricing, delivery terms, and service levels to ensure reliable supply and cost efficiency.
  • Develop and implement inventory and supply chain management strategies to ensure efficiency, accuracy, and cost-effectiveness.
  •  Establish and maintain inventory control systems for receiving, storing, tracking, and depleting materials.
  • Maintain real-time visibility of stock levels and implement minimum/maximum thresholds to prevent shortages or overstocking.
  • Conduct periodic cyclic inventory counts to ensure inventory accuracy and support audit readiness across all warehouse locations.
  • Manage daily warehouse operations, ensuring compliance with safety and storage protocols across multiple locations.
  • Work with the Finance and IT teams to implement and manage ERP systems for procurement, inventory, and reporting.
  • Forecast demand and assist in Sales, Inventory, and Operations Planning (SIOP) to align supply with pipeline and project schedules.
  • Develop and maintain SOPs for warehouse operations, receiving, logistics, and inventory usage.
  • Implement continuous improvement initiatives using lean warehousing practices to reduce waste and optimize performance.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams in construction, field operations, and finance to align materials with project needs.
  • Supervise and mentor 1–2 direct reports; delegate responsibilities and support professional development.
  • Coordinate inbound/outbound logistics and manage workflows for damaged materials and returns.
  • Develop and analyze key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure warehouse efficiency and vendor performance.
  • Prepare and deliver biweekly or quarterly inventory reports, as needed, to support demand planning and budget alignment.
  • Additional responsibilities may be added at company’s discretion.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business, or equivalent experience.
  • 5–10+ years of experience in full-cycle inventory and supply chain operations.
  • Experience managing ERP systems and implementing new tools or platforms from the ground up.
  • Proven ability to manage multiple warehouse locations and develop scalable inventory systems.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a focus on data-driven decision-making.
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to work cross-functionally with technical and operational teams.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel, ERP platforms, and inventory management software.
  • Self-starter comfortable working in startup or early-growth environments with minimal supervision.
  • Ability to lead and mentor team members and manage vendor performance.

PREFERRED

  • Experience with EV infrastructure components (e.g., DCFC, L2 chargers, ancillary parts).
  • Familiarity with SIOP, demand forecasting, and lean warehousing principles.
  • OSHA certification or strong understanding of warehouse safety compliance.
  • Prior experience launching tools, SOPs, or full ERP systems in a scaling environment.
