Description
As a Growth Manager, Partnerships & Policy, you will have the opportunity to lead and support a wide range of projects and initiatives that contribute to the growth of EVCS customer base and to the expansion of our public charging network. You will provide meaningful contributions to the company’s efforts on: strategic partnerships with private and public entities, policy and regulation, customer products and solutions, and strategic business intelligence and analytics. Reporting to the Vice President of Partnerships, you will have an enormous opportunity to experience various aspects of the EV charging business, and you will work directly with the leadership team and with EVCS external stakeholders. In true startup fashion, this generalist role requires a versatile skillset that combines deep understanding of the e-mobility and energy industry, strong business acumen, effective communication skills, and solid quantitative and analytical skills. Background in management consulting is highly desirable.

This position may be remote or hybrid based in our Los Angeles office.

KEY JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
Lead and support various growth initiatives and projects, including:
  • Conduct qualitative and quantitative business analyses to evaluate strategic partnership opportunities with private or public accounts on public EV charging, aiming to increase network utilization and/or expand network footprint. This includes but is not limited to: competitive analyses; cost-benefit analysis; market analyses; etc.
  • Help manage partnerships and business development pipeline.
  • Support with execution and daily operation of partnership programs.
  • Conduct analyses to evaluate specific policies, regulations, and grants related to public EV charging at the local, state, and federal level. Craft clear recommendations for internal leadership and external stakeholders. This includes but is not limited to requirements and compliance for: charging infrastructure, smart charging and vehicle-grid-integration, carbon credits and distributed energy resources, utility rates, utility interconnection.
  • Support with business intelligence studies to generate and synthesize strategic insights for network planning.
  • Coordinate and collaborate with Product, Engineering, & Marketing teams.

COMPENSATION & BENEFITS
  • Base salary Range: $80k – $100k
  • Bonus & equity Depends on Experience

Requirements:

BASIC QUALIFICAITONS
  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Finance, Business, Public Policy, or a related discipline.
  • 3+ years of relevant experience in transportation electrification, EV charging, and/or e-mobility industry.
  • 3+ years of experience in business development, market development, business analytics, or management consulting. o A Master’s degree counts for 1 year of experience.
  • Prior experience and solid knowledge of EV charging policy and regulations, especially on the West Coast (CA, OR, WA).
  • Proficiency in MS Office, including Excel and PowerPoint.
  • Strong analytical skills.
  • Strong communication skills.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
  • Prior work experience in electric vehicle charging policy or regulations.
  • Prior work experience in Tableau and Salesforce.
  • Be self-driven, details-oriented, and show ability to deliver on ambiguous projects.
  • Experience communicating with senior management.
